I joined BCG mainly for two reasons. I wanted to work for a company where I could experience tremendous diversity, which I had got used to during my studies. After coming back from BCG junior training in Berlin—where I met new hires who were previously heart surgeons, bio-physicists, PHDs, or engineers, while discussing a training case—I knew I made the right choice.
The second reason was learning and personal advancement. I worked recently in the Energy practice area, a stronghold in the Budapest office. I find it amazing how much insight you get from senior colleagues, the global knowledge portal, and most importantly from clients—something I experienced firsthand while meeting a CFO of a big energy company after just 5 months of tenure. I have to say it was a thrilling, but in the end very nice, experience. You can hardly get that anywhere else as a young graduate.
