As a fresh graduate I was drawn to consulting because it requires both analytical rigor and structured thinking, and at the same time, instinct and sensitivity. In these fields BCG offers me unprecedented opportunities to learn and grow.

In the last years I supported clients in three different countries and five different industries. From my first day I was given responsibility, and intellectually-compelling tasks, while in the meantime I had the chance to work with senior professionals with the most diverse backgrounds and experience.

Beyond that, I was also attracted to BCG by the friendly atmosphere in which people have a good time together while doing their daily work with professionalism, thoroughness and persistence.

Máté holds an MA summa cum laude in economics from Corvinus University in Budapest, and studied Russian language at the MGIMO University of Moscow.

Máté joined BCG’s Budapest office after finishing his studies in 2006 and is now a member of the global Energy practice.

During my studies I was becoming more and more interested in consulting, attended case study based courses and took part in case study competitions. A very typical way towards strategic consulting as a business student. Choosing BCG from the top consulting firms was a 'no brainer' for me after doing internships in the Budapest office during the preceding summers. I was amazed by the open and friendly atmosphere, the down to earth behavior of my colleagues and the motivating challenges the work provided.
